Without Words is a collection of short video clips—a visual exploration of urban solitude, quiet emotions, and fleeting moments of beauty and melancholy. Inspired by the chiaroscuro of city nights, the glow of artificial light, and the silent interior worlds of those who inhabit them, the project captures a suspended reality—intimate yet unreachable.
Each piece originates from an AI-generated image, reimagined as a five-second moving portrait. These fragments exist somewhere between memory and dream, where gestures and expressions speak without dialogue—through light, texture, and stillness. In these moments, silence becomes a presence, heavy with the weight of what remains unspoken.
The aesthetic draws from cinematic atmospheres—the emotional slowness, the saturated colors, the sense of disconnection that lingers beneath the surface. Yet the work remains grounded in a digital present, using artificial intelligence not to imitate reality, but to distill emotion.
There is no narrative, no arc—only a constellation of suspended instants: glances, hesitations, the blur of color against shadow. Joy appears, briefly. Melancholy lingers. The viewer is invited to pause, to observe, to feel—to find something of themselves in the silence, without words.

I’m Davide Xyz, a visual experimenter exploring the spaces between stillness, emotion, and image. My work moves across photography and digital fragments, often blending human presence with artificial construction—chasing what can’t quite be explained.
I’m not interested in revealing too much about myself. What matters is what the viewer feels in the silence between frames, in the moments that slip by unnoticed.
I believe some emotions don’t need to be named. I create to hold on to what’s fleeting—without narrative, without certainty, without words.
